Intelligence Community
Today’s Intelligence Community (IC)—comprising 18 organizations that includes the Director of National Intelligence, Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence (USD/I), National Intelligence and Civil Agencies, Joint Staff and Unified Combatant Commands, and Military Intelligence— faces an array of complex and interconnected challenges that threaten our way of life. To successfully protect the United States and prepare for future threats, all IC members require up-to-the-minute expertise and innovative technologies.
Navstar provides the IC with forward-thinking, success-oriented consulting, and mission support services. Our senior leadership and subject matter experts (SME) are well known within the IC. We provide direct-tailored and focused consultant teams to help clients achieve success with their most difficult and demanding mission objectives.
Department of Homeland Security
Homeland Security presents a complex, and ever-changing set of challenges to leaders at all levels of government. Terrorist attacks and natural disasters have the potential to touch the lives of all our citizens.
Effective responses to complex Homeland Security risks require integrated, collaborative strategies involving a diverse range of federal, state, local, tribal, private sector, civil sector, and even international partners. Ever-changing Homeland Security threats—whether it be an act of terror, a natural disaster, an infrastructure failure, or some other crisis—can occur with little or no warning and with unpredictable effects.
Navstar was able to serve the Department of Homeland Security, and our other clients because, we make their mission our mission.
Navstar Inc. provided key leadership level support for this critical Coast Guard Initiative. The project involved work on multiple architectures including SOA planning, and consolidation planning for C2 systems.
U.S. Army
The Navstar team was a key player on both the AENIA NETOPS architecture team as well as the Area Processing Center (APC) Design team.
In 2005, the United States Army made a major decision regarding the strategic goals of its network management capabilities – it determined that its NETOPS infrastructure and processes had to be consolidated in order to achieve greater efficiencies. This NETOPS transformation would also provide the Army with new services and capabilities not previously available.
This project was managed by US Army Netcom ESTA, and involved the development of a cutting edge NETOPS enterprise architecture, as well designs for the Army’s new Area Processing Centers (APCs). Navstar played a key in both of these efforts, providing leadership and support for the EA as well as the APC transformation activities.
The Army NETOPS initiative provided a model for other services to follow. As a result, Area Processing Centers are now being developed for the USAF.
U.S. Air Force
Air Force requires decisions that are faster, more precise, and more cost effective than ever before. Navstar combines broad government understanding, an independent outlook, and knowledge gained over their 10 years of helping DoD clients face their most critical IT challenges.
Federal Civilian Agencies
IT for the people’s business, supports the missions of the federal government’s civilian agencies and departments. We help providing security solutions that protect citizens while safeguarding sensitive information and critical infrastructures.
Department of the Treasury
Navstar successfully provided support on the Treasury Communications System (TCS) contract since 1999. TCS provides the telecommunications infrastructure for collaboration, communication, and computing as required by the U.S. Department of Treasury. In addition to enhancing communications, it enables the department to respond to the rapid growth and international expansion of the global economy by encouraging the use of electronic money, electronic funds transfer, and electronic commerce.
As a subcontractor for the Treasury Communications System (TCS), Navstar is providing a full range of network and information technology services that will produce improved services to Treasury employees and United States citizens.
TCS provides the telecommunications infrastructure for collaboration, communication and computing as required by the U.S. Department of Treasury. In addition to enhancing communications, it enables the department to respond to the rapid growth and international expansion of the global economy by encouraging the use of electronic money, electronic funds transfer and electronic commerce itself.
TCS is the largest, secure, private, wide-area network in the U.S. civilian government today. As the framework for the Treasury information infrastructure, the TCS enables a wide selection of 21st century applications, such as simplifying tax and wage reporting, linking law enforcement agencies for public safety, and developing an international trade database. The range of services offered by the TCS is immense and varied and supports the diversity of missions that characterize the Department of the Treasury.
State and Local
It is Navstar’s goal to grow business in the State and Local market (IE Public Health, DC government, WMATA).
Public health agencies have taken center stage in a national debate on our readiness to meet newly emerging threats to the nation’s well being. State and local public health agencies recognize the enormous potential of technology to enhance their ability to prevent, detect, and respond to these threats.
