Andrea R. Baker - Director of Technology
Andrea R. Baker is the Director of Technology for Navstar, Inc. and a Social Web Evangelist.
Andrea served in the United States Army from 1994-1998 as a Signals Intelligence Analyst and an Arabic Linguist. After getting honorably discharged from the Army, Andrea became a career consultant for the Federal Government. Andrea’s background originally started in web design and development when she served in the Army. Andrea has moved up from development and design over the years to technical lead, project manager, and now the Director of Technology for Navstar.
In 2005, Andrea noticed the growing social web on the Internet and saw the future of how this could be applied to business. This is now known as Enterprise 2.0, as coined by Harvard Business School professor, Andrew McAfee. Andrea joined Navstar, Inc. in 2006 to help Navstar and their customers utilize Enterprise 2.0 tools effectively. She specializes in the user community advocacy and developer liaison, through tools like wikis and blogs and other social media tools.
