Project Management

Navstar’s Project Management (PM) and Project Managers are well versed in the development of Agile Development and emerging technologies for managing projects. Our management team is trained in Scrum Methodologies and Extreme Programming. We also focus on transparent delivery of management strategies using Web 2.0 technologies. In essence we find out what the problem is that our customers need to solve and we work with them to solve the problem at its core, without pushing a specific technology as a solution. As part of our Enterprise 2.0 Life-Cycle or ELC2.0, we provide all our customers with a detailed implementation plan after start of contract.

As part of our own mission to live in the cloud, our Project Management Plan is also transparent to our customers and supporting team. This open level of communication and trust between Navstar and our customers has been a measure of success as part of our reputation for excellence.
We keep up to date on the latest Project Management methodologies and have great relationships with vendors. These relationships do not mean that we put forward a Project Management solution if it doesn’t fit the need. Our commitment is to your mission.

Community Management

Navstar’s Community Management (CM) strategy is one of understanding the community ethos and acting as a user advocate to listen to the community’s need for collaboration and technology. Our CMs also act as liaisons with the administrators and developers of the Enterprise tools. The CM not only assists with disseminating information for potential solutions, but also creates awareness for current and future tool-sets available for the community. The CM listens to the collaboration experiences of the community, in order to craft best practices to suit each individual or team. This transparency of the position of community manager and user advocate has enabled Navstar employees to cross Agency and Organization lines to help facilitate faster and more efficient collaboration.

Social Media Development

Navstar currently supports social media tool development within the Intelligence Community on A-Space and other Intelligence Community Enterprise tools. We leverage open-source software solutions as a key to enhancing the Enterprise by customizing, testing, and delivering the tools to meet the needs of the community and customers. We also provide training and support to the continuous learning of our staff and developers. We understand that technologies are rapidly evolving as well as the process to develop these technologies. In order for our customers to be sure they are getting the best solution for their needs, we can ensure that our developers keep up with industry knowledge.

Social Media Training

Navstar offers training at various levels of details using social media as an Enterprise platform to deliver such customized training to our customers. Our hands on training programs are designed specifically for each team or individual we support. Creating an awareness of Enterprise 2.0 tools and exposing the benefits these tools have in facilitating effective collaboration, has been a catalyst in the growing numbers of users who have come to incorporate the tools in their everyday work routine.

Navstar believes in a full life-cycle support to their Enterprise 2.0 solutions, which includes how to market tools and usage to the customer. Examples of our marketing can be done as simple as a blog post or a poster, to video and commercials.

In summary, the bottom line is cost and time savings by converting to an Enterprise 2.0 ethos within an organization, business, or Government Agency. We are all being told we have to do more with less. This doing more has to do more with the data, the content, the existing workload and less means with less money, less resources.
