Steve Backof, formerly of Lockheed Martin Corporation, will be joining Navstar Inc. in April 2014, to lead special projects and collaborate with executive management in the areas of program execution and new business growth.
Navstar, headquartered in Reston, Va., is a cleared IT services and solutions provider, primarily serving the US Intelligence Community and Federal Sector.

Mr. Backof has more than 30 years of experience and prior to joining Navstar, was a senior Program Manager for Lockheed Martin Corporation, managing and leading significant mission IT O&M contracts in the Intelligence Community, where he is known for his innovative and cost conscious approach to improving performance and mission focus and ability to turn around sub-performing, mission critical programs and manage them to their full potential.
Prior to Lockheed Martin, Mr. Backof worked in the private sector as a consultant in the telecom and software development industries, and also worked as a manager at AT&T in a host of capacities including Engineering, Capital Budgets Management, and Program Management.
