The Navstar Inc. Management Team consists of dedicated professionals who have served this company since its foundation – adding years of experience working both public and private sector projects.

Joanna Alexis – President and CEO

joanna-alexisNavstar’s President & CEO founded Navstar in 1999. She has extensive experience in managing and delivering Information Technology solutions. She built the company on the belief that the customer is our #1 priority. Everything we do revolves around listening to our customers, delivering the results they expect, being easy to work with, and creating an environment where motivated employees can thrive and, have opportunities to develop and grow. Since 2005, she has successfully steered the company from mainly providing Staff Augmentation to being a key subcontractor and teaming partner to large government primes such as ManTech, General Dynamics, SRA, Northrop Grumman, CACI and others. Under her direction the company has expanded it’s service offerings to include Enterprise 2.0 and Enterprise Architecture.

Joanna believes in giving back to the community, and is involved in fundraising efforts for causes near and dear to her heart such as; Cancer Fund of America, Our Daily Bread, So Others May Eat, Special Olympics and ASPCA (America Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) in addition to fundraising for smaller local charities. She is a native to the Northern Virginia area.

Corinne Combeau – Vice President, Technical Recruiting Division

corinne-combeauCorinne joined Navstar in September of 2001 as Director of Accounting responsible for all corporate financial activities. Corinne then held HR and Director positions focusing on strategic recruitment within the Federal Sector markets. In 2006 she became Vice President of the Strategic Technical Recruiting Division. Her genuine relationships with her vendors, and willingness to go above and beyond have helped her built what is The Technical Recruiting Division within Navstar. This division specializes in the understanding of technical requirements and is proficient in locating skilled IT candidates holding government clearances. In 2009 her responsibilities include a key seat on the Federal Solutions Division. For the past three years, Corinne has distinguished herself as the Top Producer for Navstar.

Corinne has a Doctoral Degree, M.Sc., Economics from the University of Paris-I, Pantheon-Sorbonne, France.

Laura Montiel – Director of Human Resources

lauraLaura joined Navstar in 2007, and has been leading our strategic human resource initiatives. Her responsibilities include talent management, employee relationships development, organizational development, and benefits administration.  Laura’s initiatives have refined company policies and procedures that support the achievement of the company’s business objective.

Prior to joining Navstar, Laura was the Human Resources Manager for 10 years at ASSYST (an Information Technology provider).  In addition to her human resources background, Laura gained a wide range of experience in areas of proposal management, contracts administration and finance.

Laura is dedicated to making Navstar the “IT” place to work.  She feels that the culture of an organization can help shape its future and promote growth.  She encourages collaboration change and diversity to create a fair and successful workplace.

Indre Bauza – Director of Operations

indre-bauzaIndre Bauza is Navstar’s Director of Operations and Finance. Indre is responsible for all financial aspects. She provides the CEO and senior management with a sound financial accounting practices. For the past 5 years at Navstar, she has demonstrated her broad multi-office management experience and created regulatory policy and procedures for accounting. In addition, she is dedicated to local community efforts and involved in fundraising for non-profits.

Carl Belso – Director of Enterprise Architecture

carl-belsoAs Director of Enterprise Architecture and practice lead of the Enterprise Architecture Division, Carl Belso possesses over 15 years of experience in the management of large-scale IT projects and solution engineering. He has managed development teams through all phases of the system development life-cycle. Some of his areas of focus are solution engineering, system modernization, security enhancements, and configuration management. His technical competence and breadth of system experience encompasses a wide variety of IT systems. Prior to joining Navstar, Carl managed numerous IT projects for the Department of Treasury. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor in Computer Science.

Andrea Baker – Director of Enterprise 2.0

andrea-bakerAndrea is the Director of Enterprise 2.0 for Navstar, Inc, under which she is a consultant for the Federal Government and private industry. She has supported various agencies throughout her career such as the CIA, DIA, NSA, NOAA, and the Pentagon, to name a few. Andrea’s division helps her customers utilize social media tools as Enterprise 2.0 solutions effectively. She specializes in the user community advocacy and an application developer liaison, through tools like wikis, blogs, and other social web technologies.

Andrea served in the United States Army as a Signals Intelligence Analyst and an Arabic Linguist. She is a disabled American Veteran.
