Joanna Alexis
Founder, CEO
As the Founder and CEO of Navstar, Joanna Alexis leads the executive team in shaping and executing the company’s strategic vision, and growth initiatives. Since establishing Navstar in 1999, Joanna has been committed to building a company that delivers exceptional services and innovative solutions by empowering people and fostering a culture of excellence. She has always believed that when employees feel valued, supported, and inspired, they deliver extraordinary results.
In 2010, Joanna led Navstar’s strategic expansion from the Commercial and DoD sectors into the Intelligence Community, marking a pivotal shift in the company’s trajectory. She spearheaded the development of the company’s core capabilities in Data Analytics, Secure Cloud Solutions, Network Infrastructure and Architecture supporting mission-critical work across the national security landscape while also driving growth through strategic partnerships with industry leaders.
Joanna has cultivated a collaborative, innovative, and purpose-driven culture that attracts top-tier talent and leading industry teaming partners. Today, Navstar is recognized as a reliable and results-driven partner, playing a vital role in advancing national security through agile, mission-focused solutions.

Brion Umidl
Chief Financial Officer
As Navstar’s CFO Brion Umidi provides financial leadership and strategic oversight, focusing on financial planning, operational management, and executive-level decision making. Brion is an entrepreneurial executive with over 30 years of financial leadership, specializing in small to mid-size public, private, and non-profit organizations across a range of industries with a focus in government contracting and healthcare.
Brion is not only an accomplished financial executive but also an inspiring mentor who fosters development within his organization. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration, professional growth, and empowering teams to reach their full potential.
In his career, Brion has supported a variety of growing organizations both within and outside the government contracting space. Notable past roles include serving as CFO for Tenacity Solutions, he also served as CFO for ReGen Biologics, a sports medicine focused innovator, and as CFO for APACHE Medical Systems, a clinical information systems and consulting firm, where he helped guide the company from startup through IPO.
Earlier in his career, Brion gained valuable commercial finance experience with Mercantile Safe Deposit and Trust Company (now part of PNC) and MNC Financial, Inc. (now part of Bank of America).
Brion earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland, with continuing education across a wide range of subjects.

Connie Maniscalco
Senior Director, Employee Experience
As Navstar’s Senior Director of Employee Experience, Connie Maniscalco, a professional with over 20 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, has a diverse background with experience in all Human Resources functional areas.
Since joining Navstar in 2024, Connie’s years of operational experience enabled her to assimilate quickly into the company and provide the Human Resource leadership needed to navigate complex regulations, ensure compliance, and manage a nationwide workforce that often includes both employees and subcontractors, all while supporting Navstar’s business objectives.
Connie’s early career was spent in Finance as a Planning and Budget Analyst, which gives an added dimension to the core competencies she possesses. Connie has a proven track record directing and inspiring team and individual performance by clearly communicating expectations, demonstrating commitment and promoting teamwork.
Connie has a master’s degree from New York University and currently holds the SPHR and the SHRM-CP Human Resources certifications.

Gus Moshos
Senior Director, IC Programs
As Navstar’s Senior Director of Intelligence Community (IC) Programs, Gus oversees a rapidly growing portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and mission success across all programs. He is responsible for management of programs, personnel, and customer relationships, as well as providing strategic oversight of Navstar’s recruiting operations.
In his role, Gus is accountable for program performance, customer satisfaction, and the achievement of both revenue and profitability goals. With a strong record of delivery and customer trust, Gus has played a pivotal role in execution, resulting in expansive growth of Navstar’s IC Programs across the country.
Gus is passionate about cultivating high-performing teams and takes pride in leading a workforce dedicated to mission impact. He fosters a culture of engagement, professional growth, and recognition, ensuring team members are supported and empowered to contribute meaningfully to both Navstar’s success and national security.
Gus holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Nicholas Weimer
Senior Director, Accounting & Contracts
As Navstar’s Senior Director of Accounting & Contracts, Nic is responsible for the full spectrum of financial operations and contracting activities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across the organization. He works closely with senior executives, program managers, and customer contracts to align financial strategies with corporate goals and to support the successful execution of Navstar’s projects and initiatives.
With a strong background in managing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and maintaining meticulous financial records, Nic plays a critical role in safeguarding the company’s fiscal health and positioning Navstar for sustainable growth. His expertise extends to negotiating and administering contracts, guiding teams through regulatory requirements, and fostering strong customer and partner relationships.
Recognized for his analytical insight and hands-on leadership style, Nic has become a trusted authority within the company. His commitment to excellence and continuous improvement has strengthened Navstar’s ability to deliver value to its customers while maintaining financial discipline.
Nic graduated with a Bachelors’ Degree in Economics from Franklin College.

Stephanie Alexis
Director, Business Development & Operations
As Navstar’s Director of Intelligence Community (IC) Business Development & Operations, Stephanie supports the growth and development of the company’s IC portfolio through business development strategy, capture and proposal management, and alignment with government acquisition priorities. She manages the opportunity pipeline and works closely with internal teams to position Navstar for continued success in the IC sector.
In her role, Stephanie also provides oversight of Navstar’s security functions, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and the integration of security practices into operational planning. She partners across departments to support efficient business operations and facilitate seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
Stephanie has played a key role in expanding Navstar’s business development capabilities and strengthening its position within the IC space. Her cross-functional experience contributes to a collaborative, forward-leaning approach that supports both growth and operational success.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from James Madison University.
