As the largest technology council in the nation, NVTC serves about 1,000 companies and organizations, including businesses from all sectors of the technology industry, service providers, universities, non-profit organizations and government agencies. Through its member companies, NVTC represents about 300,000 employees in the region.

NVTC has challenged member companies like Navstar to commit a total of 10,000 volunteer hours in the coming school year to support students and teachers in the K-12 pipeline through SySTEMic Solutions and the Equal Footing Foundation (EFF), the charitable arm of NVTC.

Steve Backof, formerly of Lockheed Martin Corporation, will be joining Navstar Inc. in April 2014, to lead special projects and collaborate with executive management in the areas of program execution and new business growth.

Navstar, headquartered in Reston, Va., is a cleared IT services and solutions provider, primarily serving the US Intelligence Community and Federal Sector.
